It is amazing to me how 20 some people can have such an impact on so many levels.  Castle Rock High Noon Rotary participates in the following activities:

Providing personal dictionaries to over 600 3rd Graders in Douglas County, Colorado

Support "Castle Rock Players" a local community arts program

Provided Shelter Boxes to victims of the Chinese earthquakes of 2008

A food drive to help the Douglas County Task Force

Providing school supplies to a remote village in Northern Nigeria where children had never had real soccer balls, pens, paper, books or other items that we take for granted

Sponsorship of Student of the Month with our local High School

Donation of $1875 to Polio Plus, the Rotary International Project to eliminate Polio from the face of the earth (We are almost there!)

Sponsorship of Agricultural Projects in Guatemala to provide continuous supplies of protein and funds to poor families

Sponsoship of International Exchange Student Programs

A project to provide a village of 70 families in Guatemala with water filters (coming in 2009)

Sponsorship of a new Rotary International Club devoted primarily to Women and Children's Issues

Work with Young Rotary Youth Leadership Association

Providing a dozen Iraqi  refugee families who have settled in Colorado with food, clothing and furniture

A weekly Radio Broadcast on www.castlerockradio.com (Tues 8pm, repeated Sun 7pm) discussing the Rotary Four Way Test and its application in every day life

Providing dozens of toys to "Toys for Tots"

Volunteering in local civic fundraisers and projects such as the Elephant Rock Bike Tour and the yearly Douglas County Fair and Parade

In addition to this, our members continue with their own personal efforts as Business People, Farmers, Pilots, Bankers, City and County Employess, Home Makers, Consultants, Mothers and Fathers, Husbands and Wives.

This club reminds me of a little boy from South Africa who was born with AIDS.  Ngosi Johnson became a spokesperson at an early age and died of his illness in 2001 at age 12.  Ngosi said "Do all you can with what you have, in the time you have, in the place you are".

Castle Rock High Noon Rotary does just that.
