SERVICE TO OTHERS IS THE BEST WORK OF LIFE
      PEACH SALES
Liz is heading our peach sales efforts.  Pertinent facts:   Palisade free-stone peaches picked day before delivery.  $40 per 18 lb box.  Checks only.  Order deadline with payment August 14.  Delivery August 24.  This is a real easy sell with profits going to our foundation.  Every one can participate.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Our second and final band ice cream social of this year was held this past Saturday at Festival Park.  Sheri headed this up with sponsorship by Midas.  Ice cream with toppings was given away, no charge.  Pictured is a very satisfied customer as Jack, John and Mom look on.

ANNUAL CLUB TRAINING
Saturday, September 21, will be the annual club training put on by our District.  It will be held at Front Range Community College, 8AM to noon.  This is always a very educational event with something for everyone.  Special emphasis this year is on training for secretaries and treasurers.  Our club allows $50 per member annually for Rotary training and conferences.

"Today I choose life.  Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain.  To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it."  Kevin Aucoin
