SERVICE TO OTHERS IS THE BEST WORK OF LIFE
 FUTURE OF
DUCKY DERBY
Wes Schuneman, president of the morning club, will be at our board meeting tomorrow morning, 8:30 AM, Pegasus, to tell us about the move of Ducky Derby to the first Sunday in June from the first Saturday.  DD will be combined with the first day of farmer's market, and will make DD more visible to the public and increase ticket sales from foot traffic.   This should be a boost for both entities.
The problem is that this move will make DD on the same day as Elephant Rock which is our club's primary fundraiser keeping us from raising club dues.  By having both events on the same day stretches our manpower very thin, especially considering we will have lost at least 3 additional members by then.
If you want any say on where all this is headed, please show up at the board meeting tomorrow.

ANNUAL CLUB TRAINING
Saturday, September 21, will be the annual club training put on by our District.  It will be held at Front Range Community College, 8AM to 12:30.  There will be 45 minute breakout sessions with a wide assortment of topics.  Registration is online at the District website: Rotary5450.org.  Fee is $25.  This is always a very educational event with something for everyone.  Special emphasis this year is on training for secretaries and treasurers.  Our club allows $50 per member annually for Rotary training and conferences.
