Books For Gardner

Last Wednesday six of us went down to Gardner CO and presented 9 third graders with dictionaries.  Pictured above are Jack, Denise, Joyce, Sheri, John and Buddy.  In addition to the 3rd graders are 3 4th graders who received dictionaries last year, but who have their class in with the 3rd graders.  Total enrollment in the school is 76, including 3 full time kindergarteners.  Boy! This school is remote. Impressed with the dedication of faculty and parents.

ALSO

Through Sheri's efforts is obtaining 6 boxes of age appropriate books [seen above spread over 4 tables] every student in Gardner Elementary was able to select two books to keep as their very own.  Sheri is seen with the school librarian, Micala.  Way to go Sheri!  Really cool!

FAMOUS
Our reputation as a tremendous organization precedes us as noted by the naming of a restaurant in Old Town Albuquerque seen in a picture Steve took recently.

               District Conference
April 27
The District Conference is a one day event this year and is being held at the Arvada Event Center.
Registration is online at:  Rotary5450.org.  The District Conference is the end-of-year event where our clubs get together and celebrate our achievements.  If nothing else, you can get the feeling of just how much larger Rotary is than just what our club does.  Our club allows $50 per member per year to attend any Rotary function.  John and Joyce are attending and would love to car pool.
