Castle Rock High Noon Rotary Club established a Young Rotarians Club at “Colorado Early Colleges” in Castle Rock in October 2021. In the midst of the Pandemic trying to start a new club was quite a gamble. But the Future Young Rotarians themselves asked our Rotary Club to help them set up their Young Rotary Club. Since then, these Young Rotarians have made a huge impact on the community. They have had multiple speakers come to present to them. They hosted a Maasai Chief, his wife and a Maasai Community Leader from Kenya. These Maasai people presented a cultural presentation to the whole school. A Uyghur (Chinese Muslim Ethnic Group from West China) spoke to them about atrocities against her people in China and how she escaped and obtained a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters Degree (and now a Doctorate) in the short time she has been in the US. Debra Fine, a Nationally renowned speaker presented her book “The Fine Art of Small Talk”. The Young Rotarians went through a Management training program involving Mini-Horses. They have completed numerous projects including school drives of toys for local needy children, clothes for the needy and personal hygiene products for refugees. They built backpacks for children getting out of the hospital. These Young Rotarians have been involved in several Cleanup programs for the Town of Castle Rock. They have handwritten hundreds of Holiday and Valentines cards for seniors. They won the Ron Prascher Service Award in 2022 in Rotary District 5450 for their incredible service efforts.

Most of all, this group of Young Rotarians has impressed the Adults that they have met and set an example to others as to what it means to be People of Action and People of Service.
